Lots of floor, set calendars
Classrooms, hallways, fellowship halls and gyms are usually VCT, and lots of it. These floors take a beating during the school year or the ministry calendar, then have a short window for real work: summer, winter break, or the days between services and events.
What I do
- Full strip and wax during breaks, room by room or wing by wing. Details
- Burnishing during the year to keep hallways looking right. Details
- Restroom tile and grout cleaning and sealing. Details
- Entry stone or tile care
Planning around your calendar
For schools, I'll map out a summer or break schedule that works around other contractors, furniture moves and staff prep days. For churches, I work around services, weddings, funerals and community events. I'm happy to do a fellowship hall on a Monday and be gone by Wednesday night.
Furniture
Classrooms are full of desks and chairs. We'll agree on who moves what. Often staff or volunteers move furniture out and I handle the floor, but I can quote moving too.
Public schools
Public school districts buy through formal bid processes. I'm registering with the public bid systems. If you're a private school, charter school, preschool or church, just call me directly.
Smaller congregations and schools
You don't need a huge building to call. One classroom, a nursery, or a small chapel floor are all fine jobs.
