Seven Hills
Seven Hills is a master-planned community in Henderson, built around the Rio Secco golf course. A lot of the homes here went up in the late '90s and 2000s, many with travertine through the main living areas, entries and baths, and often around the pool.
What Seven Hills floors usually need
Twenty-some years of family life on travertine shows up in predictable places:
- A dull traffic lane from the garage entry to the kitchen
- Holes opening across the floor, especially in high-traffic rooms
- Etching around the kitchen and bar from drinks and citrus
- A cloudy shower from hard water
The usual fix is cleaning, hole filling, honing, maybe a light polish, and a fresh seal. Some floors only need cleaning and sealing. I'll tell you which.
Big open floors
When travertine runs continuously through the entry, living room and kitchen, I plan the sequence so the finish matches everywhere and you keep a way through the house. One continuous floor is usually a one- to two-day job, depending on size and condition.
Golf-course lots and patios
Back patios facing the course get full sun and sprinklers. Outdoor travertine there often needs cleaning, filling and an outdoor-rated seal. See pool deck & patio travertine.
