Lone Mountain
Lone Mountain is an area in northwest Las Vegas, named for the standalone peak in the middle of it. It's known for bigger lots, custom and semi-custom homes, and some horse properties, without as many cookie-cutter tracts as other parts of town.
What that means for floors
Custom homes come with custom floors. In Lone Mountain I see a lot of travertine, some marble and limestone, and plenty of outdoor stone and concrete on big patios and pool areas. Larger lots also mean more dust and dirt tracked in from the yard.
Common jobs here
- Travertine that needs honing, hole filling and sealing after years of wear
- Polishing for homeowners who want more shine in formal rooms. Polishing
- Pool decks and patios that face full sun. Pool deck & patio
- Garage and outdoor concrete sealing. Concrete sealing
Dust control is part of the plan
Big lots near open desert mean more grit indoors. Entry mats, regular dust mopping and a forgiving finish keep a restored floor looking good longer. The maintenance checklist has the details.
Getting an estimate
Text photos to (702) 400-0360. For bigger custom homes I'll usually come out to look in person, since a single house might have three different stones in it.
